Men's Tennis Signs One For Next Season

OMAHA, Neb. - Head men's tennis coach Tom Lilly has announced the signing of Elliott Baker for the fall of 2011.  Baker, a stand-out at Dowling Catholic High School in Des Moines, Iowa, will come in and add depth and look to make an immediate impact in some capacity on the Bluejay roster.

A three star recruit, Baker is currently ranked #2 in the state of Iowa by  The son of Bruce and Kelli Baker, Elliott will join a Bluejay roster that will return all but one player from this year's team.

"Elliott continues to work hard and improve every week," said head coach Tom Lilly.  "His results and rankings are reflecting his hard work and I feel he will come to Creighton and compete for a starting position right away.  The team will only graduate one player at the end of the season and Elliott will have a chance to make a great impact next season."

"He is also a great student and comes from a very supportive family.  I am excited that Elliott has chosen to come to Creighton over many other fine institutions and tennis programs."
