Omaha, Neb. – The Creighton women’s tennis team announced it has signed three-time Nebraska doubles state champion, Anna Kirshenbaum, Thursday.
Kirshenbaum is listed as #1 recruit in Nebraska and #8 in the Great Plains region according to TennisRecruiting.net.
“I am extremely happy that Anna has decided to become a Bluejay,” Creighton head coach Tom Lilly said. “She always plays hard and represents herself in a respectable manner on and off the court, and I know that she will work hard to become the best player she can be during her collegiate career.”
Kirshenbaum is a native of Omaha, and is currently a senior at Marian High School. She will be a freshman at Creighton next fall, and eligible to compete in the fall of 2009.
“I am really excited to be a part of the Creighton tennis team not only because of the welcoming girls and coaching staff, but also to represent a hometown team,” Kirshenbaum said.
