OMAHA, Neb. -- Creighton men’s tennis coach Tom Lilly has announced the addition of Gavril (Gabe) Nagy to the Bluejay program. Nagy is currently a senior at Manhattan High School in Manhattan, Kan., and is rated a three-star recruit by Tennisrecruiting.net. He signed a National Letter of Intent with Creighton last week.

Nagy has been in the top 20 in the Missouri Valley Region of the United States Tennis Association. As a junior last spring, Nagy finished ninth at the Kansas state meet in singles play.

“We are very excited that Gabe has chosen Creighton University over many other fine institutions and tennis programs,” said Lilly.

“Gabe is a good person first and is also a very strong student. I know that his best tennis is ahead of him and once he gets here and begins working out in our program, I believe he will reach his potential and represent Creighton in a positive manner.”

The Creighton men’s tennis team wrapped up its season last weekend at the MVC Team Championships with a 9-10 overall record.
