Women’s Tennis Blanks St. Cloud State 7-0

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Creighton women’s tennis team blanked St. Cloud State 7-0 in suburban Orlando on Monday.

Creighton (4-6) won the doubles point and swept all six singles matches in straight sets over SCSU (6-8).  Impressively, no CU player gave up more than four games in singles action. The win marked the Jays’ second straight victory.

Junior Jennie Hartjes, senior Analese Snyder, freshman Katherine Nelsen and sophomore Sam Anderson won their doubles and singles matches.

Juniors Amanda Noonan and Liz Vermillion won singles matches in straight sets, each surrendering just three games.

Sophomore Karlin Naslund and freshman Simone Hussussian teamed up to claim victory at No. 3 doubles, 8-4

Creighton will stay in Florida this week and will face St. Ambrose and Quinnipiac on Tuesday.
