Scouting the Hoyas (12-16, 0-3 BIG EAST)
Georgetown opened the BIG EAST season with three home losses to Xavier last weekend, allowing a combined 34 runs in three games.
Prior to facing the Bluejays on Friday, the Hoyas travel to Fairfax, Virginia for a midweek clash with George Mason.
As a team the Hoyas have a .252 batting average with three players (Anderson, Collins and Busch) over .300. Anderson lead the way with a .337 average, collecting 35 hits and a team-leading 24 RBI.
On the mound the Hoyas have struggled, posting a team ERA of 5.14. One of the bright spots, however, is the scheduled Saturday starter Matt Hollenbeck. His 1.88 ERA is the best of any pitcher with at least four innings on the season.
