OMAHA, Neb. - The Creighton women's soccer team officially announced its 2014 schedule featuring 10 home games including battles with Drake, St. John's and Georgetown.

Entering his 16th season with the Bluejays, head coach Bruce Erickson looks to guide Creighton back to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2010.  Creighton will need to work its way through a difficult BIG EAST schedule that featured four teams reaching the NCAA Tournament last season (DePaul, Georgetown, Marquette and St. John's).

The season begins on Friday, Aug. 8 as the Bluejays an exhibition intrasquad game at 6:00 pm, the annual Blue vs. White game.  Two additional exhibition contests will be played on the road as Creighton heads to Arkansas on Aug. 14 then to Missouri State on Saturday, Aug. 16.

The 2014 regular season officially kicks off on Aug. 22 as the Bluejays travel to Brookings, S.D. to face South Dakota State at 6:00 pm.  Creighton follows with four straight home games against Incarnate Word (Aug. 24), Western Illinois (Sept. 1), New Mexico State (Sept. 5) and Drake (Sept. 7).

The non-conference schedule hits the road for a weekend in the Dakota states as the Bluejays face North Dakota (Sept. 12) and South Dakota (Sept. 14), before coming home to host UMKC on Sept. 19.  The end of the non-conference schedule is a battle with local rival Omaha on Sept. 21 at 4:00 pm in the home of the Mavericks.

Creighton opens BIG EAST play at the home of the defending champion, Marquette, on Sept. 25.  The following three games see the Bluejays return to Morrison Stadium to face St. John's (Sept. 28), Providence (Oct. 2) and Seton Hall (Oct. 5).

The BIG EAST schedule shifts back to the road for a game in Chicago as Creighton battles DePaul on Oct. 11, before returning to Omaha for games with Villanova (Oct. 16) and Georgetown (Oct. 19).  The final two games of the regular season will be on the road at Butler (Oct. 25) and Xavier (Oct. 31).

Creighton closed the 2013 season with a 9-8-1 mark, including a 2-6-1 record in BIG EAST action.
