OMAHA, Neb. -- The McDermotts are the toast of the basketball world. Now Creighton Basketball Coach Greg and his All-American son, Doug, will be toasted – and roasted – by the Omaha Press Club.
On April 16, the McDermotts will cap a memorable four years of Bluejay basketball with an evening of laughs as they become the 141st Face on the Barroom Floor.
Doug McDermott, a three-time All-American, has rewritten the Creighton record books and led the nation in scoring this season. Greg McDermott has led the Bluejays, who were unbeaten at home this season, to three consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances.
A large crowd is anticipated for this Face on the Floor, so make your reservations soon by calling 402-345-8008 or using the RSVP links on the OPC website.
Dinner reservations are required to attend the event. The cost is $50 for members and $60 for nonmembers.
Due to the large crowd that is anticipated, the site for the event has not yet been determined. As reservations come in and an accurate estimate of the crowd size can be determined, a final decision will be made on the location for the event.
The Omaha Press Club will notify people through the media, its website, and via email and telephone as soon as the site location is selected. This will most likely be determined next week.
