ANAHEIM, Calif. -- As this year's Creighton men's basketball team gears up for a showdown with Wisconsin tonight in Las Vegas, Nev., organizers for the 2013 DIRECTV Classic announced seven of the eight teams for the holiday event the Bluejays will participate in next season.
The 2013 DIRECTV Classic will be held over Thanksgiving weekend, Thursday, Friday and Sunday, Nov. 28, 29 & Dec. 1, in Anaheim, Calif.

The
field for the seventh annual tournament includes Arizona State, College
of Charleston, Creighton, George Washington, Marquette, Miami (FL)
and San Diego State. The eighth team will be announced at a later date.
The
2013 DIRECTV Classic will feature a bracket format with 12 games over
three days. Each team will compete in one game per day, advancing
through
the bracket. The two teams that remain undefeated throughout will face
off in a championship game on the final day of competition.
The Big West Conference will again serve as the host conference for the DIRECTV Classic.
Previous tournament champions include USC, Wake Forest, West Virginia, UNLV and Saint Louis.
The family friendly tournament takes hosts the teams for three days of tournament play, practices and events.
