OMAHA, Neb. (Oct. 23) - The Creighton men's soccer team climbed one spot to No. 21 in the latest National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) poll on Tuesday, Oct. 23, after a pair of home wins against UMKC (3-0) and Bradley (1-0) last week.
This marks the 33rd consecutive week that Creighton has been ranked in the NSCAA Top 25. The 2010 preseason poll marked the last time the Jays were not ranked.
The Jays held onto the third spot in the NSCAA Midwest Regional Rankings. Creighton moved up four spots to No. 14 in the TopDrawer Soccer rankings. The Bluejays also climbed to No. 14 in The Soccer Times poll after CU stood at No. 17 the previous two weeks.
One week after entering back into the Soccer America rankings at No. 25, the Jays rocketed up eight positions to No. 17. Creighton moved up one spot to No. 18 in the latest College Soccer News poll.
CU stands at No. 13 in the latest Ratings Percentage Index (RPI) released by the NCAA on Monday, Oct. 22. The Jays improved four spots from their No. 17 slot in the initial release Oct. 15.
Creighton will honor its four seniors in the regular-season home finale on Saturday at 2 p.m. against Missouri State. The senior class includes Jake Brown, Jose Gomez, Brent Kallman and Andrew Ribeiro.
