1 Joey Mancuso
(R-Sophomore at Creighton)
  • Mancuso saw action in 34 games, including 21 starts.  
  • The left-handed bat behind the dish for the Bluejays, Joey closed the season with a .254 average and eight RBI.
  • Mancuso kicked off his Creighton career with a pinch-hit single on Feb. 15 at Arkansas-Little Rock.
  • He belted two doubles in two at-bats at Charlotte on March 2.
  • Joey was 3-for-4 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored against Georgetown in the second game of a doubleheader on April 12.
  • Followed with a 4-for-4 day with two RBI and two runs scored in a start at Villanova on April 18.
  • Against Seton Hall, Mancuso limited the Pirates’ high-powered running game to just four stolen bases in three games.
  • Joey was 1-for-4 in each of the Bluejays’ final two games at St. John’s on May 11.

  • Due to transfer regulations, Joey did not play during 2013.

(Freshman at Saint Louis)
  • Mancuso appeared in 15 games for the Billikens in 2012.

(Rockhurst High School)
  • A three-time letterwinner at Rockhurst HS, Mancuso was the Hawks’ starting catcher in each of his final three seasons.
  • As a junior, Joey helped the Hawks finish third in the Missouri Class 4A state tournament in 2010.  He closed the season with a .379 average, 36 hits, including 13 extra-base hits.
  • Mancuso was selected to the 2010 Missouri High School Baseball Coaches Association All-State Second Team.
